* Last places available – contact info@windseeker.org before booking * Immerse yourself in the ocean swell, let everything just go and enjoy the blue sky, ocean life, the peaceful atmosphere and pleasant company. First you’ll sail from Santiago de Cuba to Bermuda, where you will stay for 1-2 days and then continue sailing to the Azores. After that you set the course to Flores, a beautiful city to visit. Finally, we set sail for the island of Faial and we’ll moor in the cozy town of Horta. At Café Sport, the place where sailors from around the world come together, you can look back on our Ocean crossing. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Santiago is a big and festive city in Cuba and its most important fishing port. Cuban music is deeply rooted in Santiago and is the result of the fusion of African drumming and Spanish guitar. Stroll through the streets of the historical center and savoring the fresh breeze, until you arrive at the famous building La Casa de la Trova. Visit the Revolution Plaza with its monumental statues and don’t forget the Diego Velazquez Museum.

The Azores are a group of 9 islands in the Atlantic Ocean, west of the Iberian Peninsula, and an autonomous region of Portugal. Sailors and trainees can explore several ports, and many do as part of an Atlantic crossing – but the most famous is Horta, which has a large port and marina. For longer visits, tourists can venture up the numerous volcanic peaks, or try one of many outdoor activities such a whale watching or mountain biking.
