Sines (PT) - Hamilton (BM)

30 April - 03 June 2017

Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta. Join this special voyage of 31 days of sailing and a total of 4 days in port. You will board in Portugese Sines to leave the next day and make an ocean crossing to Bermuda. The idea is that the vessel will have a short stop in the Canarian Islands and at the Cape Verde. In Hamilton, Bermuda you will have some time to visit the city. On board you participate in the daily working of the ship alongside professional seamen, standing lookout, manning the helm, helping in the galley, hoisting sail and voluntarily have the chance to climb the rigging/mast. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Sines is a small Portugese city with a large port, famous for being the birthplace od Vasco da Gama. Formerly a fishing village, the town center retained its quiant atmosphere, despite fast-paced industrialisation. Today you can relax on ofe of the beautiful beaches or, if you feel like taking a walk, climp up to the XV-century castle and take in the beautiful vista.

Hamilton is the capital city of the Bermuda - British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean. It is the major port and financial center, and provides for an excellent starting point for excursions. You can enjoy one of the Caribbean beaches to relax or do water sports, or you can go on an island trip. Visit the Gibb's Hill Lighthouse for beautiful vistas and discover the unique Crystal & Fantasy Caves. Fort Hamilton and the Cathedral are testament to the islands' long and rough history.
