Atyla:
Whitby (GB) - Sunderland (GB)

07 July - 13 July 2018

Delivery journey to the Tall Ships Sunderland Festival. Board the Spanish Ship Atyla in Whitby and set course north towards Sunderland. Sail on the North Sea, get your sea legs and take part in Atyla’s personal development programme before going back to the coast. Once you reach the port you will meet the crews of dozens of vessels, who will have gathered to celebrate the opening of 2018 Tall Ships Races – the biggest annual Tall Ship event! As part of Atyla’s crew for this trip you will be able to join all the activities in port, such as Crew Party and Crew Parade. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Whitby is a fishing town and port on the north-east coast of England. It is an atmospheric town with a rich maritime, and then tourist, past. The west cliff leads visitors up the winding khyber pass to the Captain Cook monument rows of Georgian guesthouses, whilst the East Cliff's narrow shop-filled lanes lead up the 199 steps to the Church and Abbey over-looking the harbour. Visitors could spend a week exploring the beaches, hunting for fossils or trying some seriously good fish and chips.

Sunderland is a coastal city in North East England, aging back to the 7th century. Whether you're a nature or a culture lover, you will surely find a bunch of nice activities to do! For instance, have a lovely day out with fish&chips for lunch at the Roker & Seaburn Beaches or take a relaxing walk in Herrington Country Park. Also, go on a trip to the picturesque Penshaw Monument. Discover the Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens.
