Sail with the Christian Radich from Norway to the Netherlands and cross the NorthSea. There are always people waving goodbye on Akershuskaia when Christian Radich leaves her home-port for the summer voyages. This time we are headed towards the Dutch “Sail Festival Den Helder.” As always, we start the voyage with security and rig-training, going out the Oslofjord. As soon as we reach good winds, we will set sails. Working with the ropes and sails, learning about navigation, keeping the ship shipshape, onwards to Den Helder and a Sail-Event with ships from all over the world. Visit the maritime museum which will be close to the mooringplace of the ship, where you also can visit a submarine. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years. (Age 12-15 accompanied by an adult). Afternight possible in Den Helder – 60 EUR (B&B).

Ports

Visit Oslo and experience its rich cultural life. The 1000-year-old Norwegian capital sits at the head of Oslo Fjord. This stunning setting gives hints of the wild wonders that lie just beyond the city. From taking in visual delights at Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum, the Munch Museum and Holmenkollen, to the new Nobel Peace Centre and the Holocoust Centre, Oslo offers plenty of food for thought. Did you know that Oslo is a forerunner on sustainability and environmental policy?

Den Helder is a beautiful town in the Netherlands, situated at the very tip of the North Holland province. Visit the Marinemuseum to learn more about the country's marine traditions, take a walk in the botanical gardens Oranjerie De Groene Parel Den Helder or admire sealife in the Fort Kijkduin Museum and Aquarium.
