Long sailing weekend – Ascension 2018. These weekend sailing trips on the Eendracht have been very popular lately – and for a reason! At 10:00 a.m. you will be welcomed on board by the crew. Coffee and tea will be ready and when everybody is on board the Captain will introduce the crew and the plans of the coming days. As soon as possible the Ship will cast off and you will sail to the open sea. The direction of sailing depends on which way the wind blows. In previous years the Eendracht visited Great Yarmouth, Oostende, Dover and Den Helder. Which port you will visit will be decided during the voyage and depends on the weather and wind conditions. This is the perfect trip for a short break. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years. You’ll be sleeping in 4 person cabins. Places in double cabins available for a surcharge of 19,50 euro p.p. per night.
Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.
