Gulden Leeuw:
Tanager (NO) - Stavanger (NO)

25 July - 27 July 2018

A short trip for anyone who wants to try Tall Ships sailing and have an overnight microadventure. You will board a magnificent Ship Gulden Leeuw in Tanager at noon on July 25th. Meet the crew, listen to safety instructions and spend some time in the town. Early the next morning you will set course for Stavanger and arrive on the first day of a major Tall Ships Festival. You will be able to take your time and enjoy the activities in port before disembarking on the following morning. Alternatively you could join this trip in other ports along the way – see other journeys. Open for all Windseekers aged 15 and older.

Ports

Stavanger is a modern port, but retains a small historic district. The lovely old harbour is a favourite stopover for big cruiseships that tower over the buildings. The city has a lively cultural scene, and is surrounded by numerous outdoor destinations well worth a visit. Explore the narrow, rocky Lysefjord and the mountains Preikestolen and Kjerag, or relax on Jæren's beaches. Make sure to bring hiking boots, as the mountains stand over 1000 meters tall.
