Places at request – Join the Picton Castle in Digby for a voyage to Lunenburg. Since the voyage is more than 2 weeks there will time enough for sailing and stops along the way. There will be time to make a stop in Saint John, New Brunswick. The harbour is home to a terminal for cruise ships as well as being a fairly busy home for various container ships. The Saint John River itself flows into the Bay of Fundy through a narrow gorge several hundred feet wide at the centre of the city. It contains a unique phenomenon called the Reversing Falls where the diurnal tides of the bay reverse the water flow of the river for several kilometres. A series of underwater ledges at the narrowest point of this gorge also create a series of rapids. The voyage will end in Lunenburg. The schooner replica Bluenose II is operated by the museum and based out of Lunenburg. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 18 years.

Ports

Digby is a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada, dating back to the second half of the 18th century. It has long maritime traditions, with many trade and fishing ships calling it home. Nowadays Digby is proud of its scallop fishing, it even holds an annual scallop festival! You can learn about the town's history in the Admiral Digby Museum. If you're more of an outdoorsy person visit the 200-years-old Prim Point Lighthouse or go hiking on the Balancing Rock trail.

Lunenburg is a Canadian port town in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Historically the town was involved in several wars, including the American Revolution. Today the town is a fishery port and has several small shipyards that have managed to preserve the skills of the sailing era. Did you know that the replica of the ‘Bounty’ was built here? Visit the historic city centre on foot or by horse and carriage, and enjoy a leisurely hike in the grassy hills of the surrounding countryside.
