PDF this page

Board the Spirit of South Carolina in her homeport in Charleston, following the Tall Ships Charleston festival. Set the sails and take course for sunny Bermuda where you will meet many more Tall Ships. Between the 2017 Rendez-Vous Tall Ships Regatta and the 35th America’s Cup, Bermuda will be at the time the sailing capital of the Atlantic. Sail the Spirit of Carolina and be a part of the crew: set the sails, pull the ropes, steer and stand lookout with your fellow trainees. IMPORTANT: Due to currency rates change, the price in EUR for this journey is approximate – the binding fee is in USD and it’s $1,750. Open to Windseekers of 15 years and older.

Ports

The Port of Charleston is a seaport and the oldest city in South Carolina, US. The unique atmosphere is the result of numerous historical buildings and a cultural blend which includes English, French and West African elements. To sample this atmosphere you must try the local cuisine, take a walk to the Charleston City Market and attend one of the many cultural events throughout the year.

Bermuda is a group of low-forming volcanoes in the North Atlantic Ocean, consisting of 181 islands. The first known European explorer to reach Bermuda was Spanish sea captain Juan de Bermúdez in 1503, after whom the islands are named. Bermuda's culture is a mix of Native American, Spanish-Caribbean, English, Irish, and Scots. It is a British Overseas Territory. Bermuda has a humid subtropical climate, pink sand beaches and clear, cerulean blue ocean water. Go snorkeling to see the coral reef.
