Scottisch Hebrides 2017 voyage – Nature, exquisite panoramas, wild animals, birds, castles and abbeys, that is in a nutshell what can be expected during our trip to Hebrides. Destinations that are not or at least very hard to add to your travelschedule by land are on board of Thalassa within reach for you now: their inhabitats will be happy to welcome you with their natural Scottisch cordiality. During the sailingtrips you will enjoy the company of many seabirds: Jan van Gents, Puffins, Guillemots etc. Above all of this there is a likely chance to be accompanied by dolphins and whale sharks. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Troon, situated on the west coast of Scotland, is famous for its Royal Troon golf course, one of the hosts to the Open Golf Championship. The course is chosen to host this annual event roughly every seven years. The Duke of Portland took the existing natural harbour on the north side of the headland and added docks. Troon has over the past few years become a popular place for kitesurfing. The strong winds coming from the Atlantic and from the north down the Firth of Clyde make it an ideal spot.

Invergordon is a town and port in the Highland of Scotland. For years a typical industrial town, known for the repair of oil rigs and as a place for aluminium smelters, nowadays the port is visited by cruise liners each year. The town is popular because of the whisky distillery by Whyte and Mackay. Besides that, Invergordon has beautiful murals, which tell stories about the local community and the area. In total the town is adorned with a series of 17 murals. They are all worth going to see.
