No time for ocean crossing? Join the Wylde Swan for a short trip across the North Sea! You don’t have to take weeks of vacation time in order to enjoy sailing this summer. With this port to port delivery trip you will bring Wylde Swan from the Netherlands to London. Steer the Ship, trim the sails, stand on lookout and enjoy your few days off – off from work, cars, air pollution and internet! Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.
Scheveningen is a popular sea resort in the Netherlands, a stone’s throw away from the seat of government in The Hague. It has a busy marina and a lively (somewhat kitschy) promenade – great for an afternoon of sightseeing. You’ll also find plenty to do nearby. Go for a walk in the dune landscape or take a tour around the Palace of Peace. Visit Madurodam to see the Netherlands rebuilt in miniature, check out the city centre of The Hague, or explore the beach and perhaps even go kitesurfing.
Greenwich is a district of southeast London, notable for its role in Maritime history. Opulent buildings dot the shorelines of the Thames River, and the famous Cutty Sark clipper is on display here. Greenwich has a village feel, and its parks and riverside pubs make for a rewarding stroll around the area, while the rest of London is within easy reach by underground. Visit the National Maritime Museum, the Imperial War museum, or go window-shopping in Greenwich’s affluent shopping streets.
