Sailing from northern Norway to Iceland you will cover about 800 nautical miles. This is an adventure for those who love sailing, but also for avid hikers! You will start by taking in the famous fjords before setting course for the open ocean. You can expect about a week of relaxing sailing, hopefully accompanied by whales! After reaching Iceland you can count on exploring the northern coast, visitng picturesque anchorages and small harbours and discovering the famous local nature. The journey ends at 12:00 pm but we advise you book a flight home at the end of that day as a precaution. Prices include €15 administration fee. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years (younger Windseekers on request, when accompanied by an adult).

Ports

Bodo is a town in Norway, located north of the Arctic Circle. Bodo is home to the world’s strongest maelstrom. The city is perfect for outdoor activities like walking, kayaking, diving and fishing, but also for climbing and hiking in the mountain range. Besides of impressing nature, you find there lively urban scene with shopping centres and diverse choice of cultural activities.

Akureyri is a small city in northern Iceland. It is an important port and fishing centre. The Norse Viking Helgi Magri (the slim) Eyvindarson originally settled the area in the 9th century. The city is surrounded by mountains, the highest being Kista (1447 m) and another peak of 1538 m at the head of Glerádalur. Go hiking for a day over the mountains or along the water. Enjoy the quiteness here and the great views with snowy hilltops. Nature is beautiful here and offers great photo material.

  • Price excludes transportation costs to-and from the ports. Our travel counsellor can advise you and book your transfers
  • Windseekers need to have a health insurance and a travel insurance
  • Need to take with you on board: sleeping bag, sheets and towels. Bedlinen can be rented on board for €15 per journey.
