Atyla:
Amsterdam (NL) - Bremerhaven (DE)

15 August - 22 August 2020

From SAIL Amsterdam to Sail Bremerhaven. This journey will give you an opportunity to be a part of not one, but two sailing festivals! Join the Atyla in Amsterdam and after a good night’s rest leave the quayside to participate in a huge Sail-out Parade through the city and all the way to the open sea. There you will set the course for Germany, enjoying 3 days of sailing before making your way to Bremerhaven. You will moor in the heart of the city on the 19th and spend the next couple of days showing Atyla to visitors, as well as taking some time to explore the festival yourself. Or book as a passenger and spend your time in port freely. If it’s more convenient for you, you can disembark on the 20th or 21st of August as well as the 22nd. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

With more bicycles than people, cycling is an integral part of Amsterdam’s DNA. Hop on and see the city like the locals do! Winding waterways, idyllic bridges and historic buildings – one of the most memorable ways to truly see Amsterdam is from the canals. Amsterdam has a full cultural agenda showcasing the very best festivals, nightlife, exhibitions & events, plus there is enough practical tourist info, hotel, museum, excursion & attraction listings, you won’t miss a thing!

Bremerhaven is one of the most important German ports, playing a crucial role in Germany’s trade. The town was founded in 1827, but settlements in the vicinity were settled as early as the 12th century. The main attractions for tourists are found at the Havenwelten and include the German Emigration Center and the German Maritime Museum, featuring the Hansekogge, a vintage cog dating from 1380, excavated in Bremen in 1962, and the historical harbour with a number of museum ships.
