A unique Christmas: guided expedition of Antarctica. Step on board in Ushuaia and sail south, crossing the Drake Passage under the watchful eyes of albatrosses. After days of sailing the Tall Ship you will reach the pristine White Continent and have some time to explore it. The guide on board will answer your questions and bring you to landings on shore. You will see penguins, seals, sea elephants, and hopefully also some whales who like to feed on local krill. Bring you camera with good zoom lenses for closeup photos of the unique wildlife. Spend your days sailing, trekking and enjoying drinks at the bar with a truly amazing view! Open to Windseekers of 15 years and older. No more places in 2-person cabins. IMPORTANT: The Antarctica journeys fill out very quickly. Contact us about availability.
Ushuaia is commonly regarded as the most southern city in the World or ‘El Fin del Mundo’. This Argentinian port is known as a starting point for expeditions to Antarctica. The city was originally built up around a prison in the early 20th century, but today tourists come to Ushuaia to visit the national park Tierra del Fuego, go skiing in the nearby mountains, or sail the Beagle canal. Ushuaias’ windy subpolar climate serves to reinforce the notion that you’re at the ‘end of the world’.
