Bark Europa:
Valparaiso (CL) - Easter Island (CL)

18 April - 08 May 2020

And epic journey, sailing 2000 nautical miles on the Pacific Ocean towards Easter Island. Board Bark Europa in Chilean town of Valparaiso, the starting point of your Pacific adventure. Leave South America behind and enter the largest ocean on Earth. Soon the Europa will catch the easterly trade winds in her sails, which promise a comfortable sail onto the endless Pacific blue. Spend 20 days learning to sail a Tall Ship, making friends and enjoying the digital detox of the ocean sailing. Finally, reach the remote Easter Island, famous for its stone Moai Statues. Open to Windseekers of 15 years and older. Limited places in 2-person cabins – contact us to confirm availability.

Ports

Valparaiso is one of Chile’s largest cities, famous for its culture and architecture. Known as the “Jewel of the Pacific” Valparaiso is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taste fresh seafood in Caleta Portales, take the elevator up the Cerro Concepcion for beautiful views and visit the home of Pablo Neruda. Stroll through the city enjoying the street art and bohemian atmosphere. You can also take a day trip to a nearby beach and the maritime museum for a dose of Chilean naval history.

Easter Island – or Rapa Nui – is a remote island on the Pacific Ocean. It belongs to Chile. Famous for its hundreds of giant stone statues (moai), Easter Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Do diving with the underwater moai, admire the Milky Way at night without the light pollution, explore the Anthropological Museum and try the local specialties!
