European Escapes: Portugal Coastal Sailing. Join Blue Clipper as she sets sail along the Iberian coast from Camarinas, heading south to the Portuguese town of Portimao. Anchor in the Ria de Muros and Ria de Vigo; visit the Atlantic Islands, witness first hand some of the gems of Galicia before making our way along the Portuguese coast, rounding Cape St Vincent before sailing along the Algarve to Portimao. White sandy beaches and hidden coves are scattered along the beautiful rugged Atlantic coast. This journey is a great opportunity to get some last-minute sun before the winter and brush up on your traditional sailing skills. For Windseekers aged 15+ (ages 9-15 accompanied by a guardian at request).

Ports

Camarinas is a small port town in Spanish Galicia. Off the beaten track, it’s the perfect place to relax, admire the small bay and have a nice dinner in one of the local restaurants. Camarinas is well-known for its handcraft, specifically bobbin lace, and you can buy beautiful items directly from the people who make them. There’s even a museum dedicated to the craft. If you prefer to spend the time outdoors take a trip to the nearby cliffs of Cabo Vilán and visit the lighthouse.

Portimão is a Portugese city in the southern region of Algarve. Take a stroll along the Alvor Boardwalk, relax on the white sands of the Praia Da Rocha beach and visit the Museu de Portimao for a little history lesson. You can also take a dolphin watching tour or do one of the multiple offered water sports.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee.
