Set sail from Ullapool to Newcastle on this 7 night classic hands on sailing adventure. Join the Blue Clipper for a late summer adventure and lear all the skills necessary to sail a 3-masted Schooner. Steer the ship, handle sails, keep a lookout, tie some knots and assist in the day to day duties on board. Make new friends, sing shanties, enjoy sunsets at sea and the feeling of being one with nature. For Windseekers aged 15+ (ages 9-15 accompanied by a guardian at request).

Ports

Ullapool, despite its small size is the largest settlement for many miles around and a major tourist destination of Scotland. The village was founded in 1788 as a herring port by the British Fisheries Society. A few Cordyline australis or New Zealand cabbage trees are grown in the town and are often mistaken for palms. The harbour is still the edge of the village, used as a fishing port, yachting haven, and ferry port. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings here.

Newcastle upon Tyne is a city on the River Tyne, on the North East coast of England, named after a castle built in the 11th century. You can climb the famous castle that gave the city its name and enjoy the beautiful vistas from the top. Take a walk around the quayside, with its numerous charming bridges and eclectic mix of cafes and bars. Take a guided tour of the Victoria Tunnel built in 1842. If you prefer to stay on the ground, you must visit the Jesmond Dene Park.

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

 

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends.
