Amsterdam (NL) - Bremerhaven (DE)

16 August - 19 August 2020

Head out of Amsterdam in a precisely orchestrated parade of hundreds of vessels after SAIL Amsterdam event. Admire this unique gathering of Tall Ships and yachts, before making your way to the North Sea. From there you will sail towards Germany. Spend a couple of days on the sea and reach Bremerhaven in time for another festival to start. If you want to see many sailing vessels from all over the world and enjoy a short sailing break this summer, the Amsterdam-Bremerhaven journey is for you! There is no possibility to prolong the stay on board in this journey. Trainees aged 12-14 only with an adult.

Ports

With more bicycles than people, cycling is an integral part of Amsterdam’s DNA. Hop on and see the city like the locals do! Winding waterways, idyllic bridges and historic buildings – one of the most memorable ways to truly see Amsterdam is from the canals. Amsterdam has a full cultural agenda showcasing the very best festivals, nightlife, exhibitions & events, plus there is enough practical tourist info, hotel, museum, excursion & attraction listings, you won’t miss a thing!

Bremerhaven is one of the most important German ports, playing a crucial role in Germany’s trade. The town was founded in 1827, but settlements in the vicinity were settled as early as the 12th century. The main attractions for tourists are found at the Havenwelten and include the German Emigration Center and the German Maritime Museum, featuring the Hansekogge, a vintage cog dating from 1380, excavated in Bremen in 1962, and the historical harbour with a number of museum ships.
