Join the Christian Radich for the delivery journey to the Tall Ships Races 2018. Sail out of Stavanger and visit the Faroe Islands and the Shetlands before making your way to Sunderland. There you will be able to see multiple other vessels arriving for the opening of the biggest annual Tall Ships event! On board you will participate in the daily working of the ship alongside professional seamen: standing lookout, manning the helm, helping in the galley, hoisting sail and voluntarily climb the rigging/mast. Open for all ages, minimum age 15 years. You can book an extra afternight in Sunderland to enjoy the festival, price 60 EUR p.p.p.n.

Ports

Stavanger is a modern port, but retains a small historic district. The lovely old harbour is a favourite stopover for big cruiseships that tower over the buildings. The city has a lively cultural scene, and is surrounded by numerous outdoor destinations well worth a visit. Explore the narrow, rocky Lysefjord and the mountains Preikestolen and Kjerag, or relax on Jæren’s beaches. Make sure to bring hiking boots, as the mountains stand over 1000 meters tall.

Sunderland is a coastal city in North East England, aging back to the 7th century. Whether you’re a nature or a culture lover, you will surely find a bunch of nice activities to do! For instance, have a lovely day out with fish&chips for lunch at the Roker & Seaburn Beaches or take a relaxing walk in Herrington Country Park. Also, go on a trip to the picturesque Penshaw Monument. Discover the Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens.
