Eendracht:
Brest (FR) - Rotterdam (NL)

12 March - 19 March 2021

*Places at request* From Brest to Rotterdam via the Channel Islands. Board the Eendracht and meet the crew before setting sail along the rugged coast of Normandy towards Rotterdam. On the way you will visit one of the Channel Islands which are known for their beautiful, untouched nature and water that is just as clear blue as in the Caribbean. After this, the Eendracht will take you through the Strait of Calais and you will moor a few days later in the ship’s home port of Rotterdam. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Brest is a major French port on the Atlantic coast, historically of strategic importance. Much of the town was destroyed during World War II, but some historic landmarks remain. Today Brest is an important navy port, so expect to see war ships berthed in the harbor. Every four years, Brest hosts the international festival of the sea, boats and sailors, with many Tall Ships attending. South of Brest you will find national park d’Armorique, a tranquil reserve where you can escape from the city.

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.
