Eendracht:
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES) - Madeira (PT)

21 February - 27 February 2022

Course: Madeira. This short but intense trip will take you from one exotic archipelago to another. Board the Eendracht in Gran Canaria and enjoy the volcanic landscapes around you. Leave the island behind and embark on a crossing, over the Atlantic waters, towards Madeira. Spend several days out on the open sea, sailing the ship together with professional crew and enjoying the digital detox. Reach Madeira, known for the beautiful nature (and especially flowers!), volcano with lava flows, waterfalls that end in the sea and idyllic villages. Depending on the weather conditions you will sail where the wind takes you and see what else the adventure will bring before disembarking, filled with great new memories and enough energy to last you to the summer. Open to Windseekers aged 15-80.

Ports

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
