Eendracht:
Madeira (PT) - Brest (FR)

28 February - 12 March 2021

*Places at request* Experience the sea in all its simplicity. Board the Eendracht in the beautiful Madeira for a crossing to nothern France. Spend several days out on the open sea: no mobile coverage, no television and no internet. Learn to sail, from handling the ropes and sails to steering and navigating. Make new friends. Enjoy the nature around you and re-discover life’s simple pleasures: search the waves for dolphins, look at the stars without the light pollution and gaze at the horizon at sunset. Depending on the weather conditions you will sail where the wind takes you, and see what else the adventure will bring before disembarking in Brest. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Brest is a major French port on the Atlantic coast, historically of strategic importance. Much of the town was destroyed during World War II, but some historic landmarks remain. Today Brest is an important navy port, so expect to see war ships berthed in the harbor. Every four years, Brest hosts the international festival of the sea, boats and sailors, with many Tall Ships attending. South of Brest you will find national park d’Armorique, a tranquil reserve where you can escape from the city.
