Active sailing and relaxed island hopping? Step on board in Paramaribo and sail calmly down the Suriname River towards the open sea. Once there, it’s all hands on deck! Hoist the sails and make your way towards the Caribbean islands. After about 4 days of sailing you will see the land. Weather, wind and current determine which islands you will visit here. Will it be the beautiful white beaches on St. Vincent and the Grenadines? Or an exploration of the untouched nature in Grenada? The possibilities are as wide as the horizon. The Eendracht has previously visited the following islands: Tobago Keys, Trinidad, Tobago, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Bequia. During the trip, the captain decides which islands will be visited, following the best weather conditions. Open to Windseekers aged 15-80.

Ports

Paramaribo is the capital city of Suriname, at the northern coast of South America. Visit the busy Central Market for a local atmosphere and Saint Peter & Paul Cathedral-Basilica, Neveh Shalom Synagogue or the Suriname Mosque for must-see architectural attractions. Then stroll down the Blaugrond street and grab some delicious food in one of the many lively restaurants.

Martinique is an island on the Eastern Caribbean Sea and an overseas territory of France. With its white sandy beaches, clear blue water and green hills it is the picture of a tropical paradise. Enjoy the unique culture of the island with its Creole and French influences and the multicultural cuisine. Visit the Paul Gauguin Interpretation Centre, dedicated to the artist’s brief but fruitful stay on the island. Participate in watersports or take a hike through the tropical forest.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end.
