Eendracht:
Rotterdam (NL) - Rotterdam (NL)

01 July - 09 July 2021

An 8-day sailing adventure. Board the Eendracht for a round trip from Rotterdam, and sail wherever the wind brings you. Learn to sail the largest gaff topsail schooner in the Netherlands. Set the sails by pulling the lines with other trainees – teamwork makes the dream work! Channel your inner navigator to plot your course on sea charts. Stand behind the helm and feel the power of steering a large ship. Join the sea watches, day and night, and afterwards relax with your new friends on deck. There is no set itinerary for this voyage, which means a lot of flexibility to choose a route with the best sailing conditions. Open Windseekers aged 15-80.

Ports

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
