From Norwegian fjords to Icelandic fjords! This is a very spectacular trip, which will bring you from Bergen in Norway, across the Norwegian Sea, to the capital of Iceland. You will make 1,200 nautical miles in the wake of the Vikings and experience unique scenery at both ends of the journey. You will steer the Ship, navigate, hoist the sails and look out for other vessels (and wildlife!) – no matter your experience, no matter your physical abilities! Open for able-bodied and disabled trainees. Minimum age 16 years. More info: info@windseeker.org The final price may be subject to small changes due to currency exchange rates.

Ports

Bergen is the gateway to the Fjords of Norway and a well-established cruise port. It’s an international city packed with history and tradition, a big city with small-town charm and atmosphere. Stroll around old streets and alleyways, and mingle with the crowds at the Fish Market. Saunter along the listed wooden buildings at Bryggen to the old fortress at Bergenhus, or call in at one of Bergen’s museums and galleries. The panoramic views of the city, the fjord and the ocean are breathtaking.

Reykjavík is the capital of Iceland. As you approach from the sea, you’ll sea a modern city skyline with snowy volcanic mountains in the background. Reykjavík is quite cosmopolitan, with plenty of culture and entertainment. Go for a night on the town, or find a tour that takes you to see the glaciers, geysers, and volcanoes for which Iceland is famous. Reykjavík’s climate is less cold than you’d expect. At Nauthólsvík you’ll even find a geothermically heated beach!
