Coming back to Britain. This trip will take you between two unique capital cities: Reykjavik in Iceland and Edinburgh in Scotland. Between the rugged fjords of Iceland and Scottish moorelands lies about 900 nautical miles of sea, which you will cross this late summer on Lord Nelson! Teamwork is the key to sailing on a Tall Ship and together with your fellow trainees – both able-bodied and with physical disabilities – you will bring the Ship back to Great Britain after a busy season in Scandinavia. Open for able-bodied and disabled trainees. Minimum age 16 years. More info: email@example.com The final price may be subject to small changes due to currency exchange rates.
Reykjavík is the capital of Iceland. As you approach from the sea, you’ll sea a modern city skyline with snowy volcanic mountains in the background. Reykjavík is quite cosmopolitan, with plenty of culture and entertainment. Go for a night on the town, or find a tour that takes you to see the glaciers, geysers, and volcanoes for which Iceland is famous. Reykjavík’s climate is less cold than you’d expect. At Nauthólsvík you’ll even find a geothermically heated beach!
Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland, inhabited by about half a million people. The Old Town and New Town are jointly considered the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is a home to many festivals and events and the entertainment options are aboundant. Visit the Royal Yacht Britannia to see how the English Queen used to sail, or hike up Arthur’s Seat, a hill whose summit provides a dramatic panorama of the Old Town.
