Morgenster:
Cayenne (GF) - Paramaribo (SR)

02 December - 08 December 2023

Exploring an area of unsurpassable beauty that few tourists see. This journey begins in Cayenne, the capital of French Guiana, from where you will due west along mangrove forests. Drop anchor in the city of Kourou, a colonial town from the 18th century and visit for a bit before continuing on along the coast. Sail up the Maroni River and drop anchor at the town of Saint Laurent du Maroni. Afterwards, head upstream again and set sail for the heart of Suriname: Paramaribo. This is the life: Parbo Bier beer, laid back atmosphere, small talk, gone are the worries. Who wants to go and explore the rain forest? Well, there’s always tomorrow.
Open to all Windseekers over 18 years old (please note that this is not a youth voyage and we expect a big variety of ages on board). This booking is covered by VZR Garant (instead of Windseeker’s usual STO Garant). Meals on board are vegetarian, please indicate on the booking form if you would like to have the occasional fish or meat dish on the menu.

Ports

Paramaribo is the capital city of Suriname, at the northern coast of South America. Visit the busy Central Market for a local atmosphere and Saint Peter & Paul Cathedral-Basilica, Neveh Shalom Synagogue or the Suriname Mosque for must-see architectural attractions. Then stroll down the Blaugrond street and grab some delicious food in one of the many lively restaurants.
