*FULLY BOOKED* Tall Ships Races 2021: Race 3. Set course for a real adventure and cross the Baltic Sea under sails. Board the Morgenster in beautiful Aaland Islands, off the coast of Finland. Spend the evening getting to know the ship and get some rest before you embark on your journey the next morning. Leave Mariehamn in a Parade of Sails with other Tall Ships and start the race to Poland. Climb the masts to upack the sails, stand behind the steering wheel, find your way on navigational charts. You will sail day and night, taking watch twice a day. In between there’s plenty of time to relax: take a guitar and sing some shanties, chat with your new international friends, or simply admire the sea going all the way to the horizon. Spend the last two days in port, enjoying the festivities closing this year’s Tall Ships Races. Did you win a prize? Go to the ceremony to find out, then celebrate the end of sauccessful journey with thousands of others at the exclusive crew party! Open to all Windseekers over 15 years old.
Mariehamn is the capital of Aaland Islands, an autonomous archipelago off the coast of Finland. The town has maritime ties, seen when visiting the Aaland Maritime Museum and the impressive Pommern museumship. Don’t miss the old Maritime Quarter with its old fishermen houses and boats. With less than 12,000 inhabitants Mariehamn has a cozy and friendly atmosphere.
Szczecin in North-Western Poland has a deep commitment to sail training. Discover the Underground City Trails: a network of bunkers from WWII with their unique atmosphere. If you’re more of an outdorsy type, take a canoe along the Odra river or explore Bukowe Hills which hide the ruins of old bridges and are home to numerous boars and deer. Visit one of many museums or the Castle of Pomeranian Dukes or the beautiful rose gardens.

What does it mean?
In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
