Morgenster:
Paramaribo (SR) - Grenada (GD)

09 January - 17 January 2023

From South America to the Caribbean! Start the new year right, with this great tropical adventure. Join the Morgenster in Suriname and explore the area before sailing to the Caribbean Islands. Spend 2-3 days and nights sailing across the Caribbean Sea, enjoying the sun and breeze. Reach Tobago – the island of Robinson Crusoe – and discover its natural beauty. Snorkel in the breathtaking Buccoo Reef and visit some uninhabited islands before making your way to Grenada – a mountainous island full of rainforests and waterfalls. The itinerary of this journey is not fully set, and both the winds and the preferences of trainees will be taken into consideration when choosing the exact route. Open to all Windseekers over 18 years old (please note that this is not a youth voyage and we expect a big variety of ages on board). This booking is covered by VZR Garant (instead of Windseeker’s usual STO Garant).

Ports

Paramaribo is the capital city of Suriname, at the northern coast of South America. Visit the busy Central Market for a local atmosphere and Saint Peter & Paul Cathedral-Basilica, Neveh Shalom Synagogue or the Suriname Mosque for must-see architectural attractions. Then stroll down the Blaugrond street and grab some delicious food in one of the many lively restaurants.

Grenada is an island-state composed of a main island, Grenada, and six smaller islands. Located in the Southeastern Caribbean Sea it hosts more than a hundred thousand inhabitants. The capital city, Saint George's, is surrounded by a hillside of an old volcano crater and a pretty big harbor. Those islands are well known tourist destinations because of the beautiful waters, astonishing landscapes and local culture. So, take your hiking shoes and go for walk to the top of the old volcano!
