Morgenster:
Saint Martin (MF) - Rotterdam (NL)

12 January - 18 February 2024

Board the Morgenster on Saint Martin, roll up your sleeves and raise the sails. The trade winds will take you to Bermuda in about six days. Spend a few days exploring before setting course for the Azores. Sail the Atlantic Ocean in watches, taking shifts to steer and navigate day and night. Take a dip in the middle of the ocean when the wind dies down, and trim the sails when it picks back up. Try your hand at fishing tuna, and enjoy the rhythm of days on board, rolled by the long ocean waves. Stop on the Azores, a traditional port of call for sailors crossing the Atlantic, before heading for Europe. Take a short stop in Channel Islands to celebrate your successful crossing of the ocean, a feat to be proud of, before reaching your final destination in the Netherlands.
Open to all Windseekers over 18 years old (please note that this is not a youth voyage and we expect a big variety of ages on board). This booking is covered by VZR Garant (instead of Windseeker’s usual STO Garant). Meals on board are vegetarian, please indicate on the booking form if you would like to have the occasional fish or meat dish on the menu.

Ports

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.
