Bergen (NO) - North Shields (GB)

22 July - 28 July 2019

* New Prices! * Coming home. The Morning Star of Revelation will be sailing back home to Britain after the Tall Ships Races. Join the vessel in Bergen, where an international fleet of Tall Ships will be gathered for a large maritime event. Sail our of the city, admiring the wonderful coastline, before embarking on the North Sea crossing. This short but exciting journey will take you out on the open sea where you get to spend several days with no land in sight. Enjoy disconnecting from the internet, getting in touch with nature, learning to sail, scanning the waves for dolphins and looking at the stars during the night watch. Please be aware that the Ship’s core team and many volunteers are Christians. They are happy to talk about their faith while letting people make their own decisions about what they believe. Open to Windseekers aged 15-25.

Ports

Bergen is the gateway to the Fjords of Norway and a well-established cruise port. It's an international city packed with history and tradition, a big city with small-town charm and atmosphere. Stroll around old streets and alleyways, and mingle with the crowds at the Fish Market. Saunter along the listed wooden buildings at Bryggen to the old fortress at Bergenhus, or call in at one of Bergen’s museums and galleries. The panoramic views of the city, the fjord and the ocean are breathtaking.

North Shields is a town in north east England on the bank of river Tyne, near Newcastle. Established as a fishing port in 13th century, North Shields has always been connected to the sea. Visit Old Low Light Heritage Centre & Cafe to immerse yourself in the local atmosphere or make a trip to Northumberland Park for a day in nature!
