Father & Son Adventure. Take a long weekend and get closer to your loved ones by doing something fun together! Join the Oosterschelde for 4 days of sailing, with a stop somewhere in the Netherlands, in a British or French harbour, if it’s possible at the time. This voyage gives you time to catch up while enjoying the sea and adventure. You will board the Ship in Rotterdam and get to know the crew and other trainees. Then you will leave for the sea, on the same night or next morning. The crew will teach you everything you need to know about sailing a Tall Ship and safety on board. This journey has a flexible itinerary – the route will be determined by the wind, for optimal sailing conditions. So step on board and enjoy the active weekend with your father or son! For Windseekers of all ages, please enquire if younger than 15. This journey is subject to special, more flexible COVID booking/cancellation conditions.
Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.
