Statsraad Lehmkuhl:
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES) - Curacao (NL)

03 October - 04 November 2021

Atlantic crossing in one month: a dream voyage with truly unique experiences. Board Statsraad Lehmkuhl in Canary Islands for this epic adventure, part of the One Ocean Expedition. Spend a whole month at sea, with warm and good sailing conditions across the Atlantic. Enjoy the digital detox, so far from land that nothing will disturb your rest. Take in the stars without the light pollution, and search the ocean for dolphins and whales. During the whole month on board you will create a tight community with your fellow trainees and crew, and learn to sail on Norway’s largest Tall Ship (and one of the most environmentally-friendly ships of its class in the world!) This is a truly amazing adventure for anyone who wants to havea bucket-list experience. Open to all ages, minimum age 15 years (with an adult guardian), 18 years if sailing alone.

Ports

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.

OTHER JOURNEYS YOU MIGHT LIKE

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
