Easter Island (CL) - Falkland Islands (FK)

04 December 2019 - 03 January 2020

* Last places – contact info@windseeker.org before booking * Rounding the Cape Horn – the Holy Grail of sailing! This journey is a true expedition for sailors who like a challenge. You will board in remote Easter Island on the Pacific Ocean. After visiting for a bit you will set the course towards the Southern Ocean, on your way to pass the infamous Cape Horn and reach the Atlantic. The journey will end in the magical archipelago of the Falklands, home to multiple penguin colonies, shipwrecks, and very few people. Depending on the time of your arrival, you might have a couple of days to explore the area before disembarking. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Easter Island - or Rapa Nui - is a remote island on the Pacific Ocean. It belongs to Chile. Famous for its hundreds of giant stone statues (moai), Easter Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Do diving with the underwater moai, admire the Milky Way at night without the light pollution, explore the Anthropological Museum and try the local specialties!

Falkland Islands is a British overseas territory and an archipelago at the very south of South American continent. The breathtaking nature is the main reason for tourism, with amazing landscapes and numerous species of birds (including pinguins), seals and dolphins. Even if you're not much of a nature lover you will still find things to do. Check out the local woolen crafts - or join workshops to make some yourself; see a traditional dance performance and don't miss The Historic Dockyard Museum.
