* Attention: This voyage is not yet confirmed * This exciting voyage will take you from Alaska, down the western coast of the US, towards the famous Galapagos Islands out on the Pacific. Whether or not this journey will take place depends on how succesfull Tecla will be in crossing the North-West Passage prior to that. You can book your place on board now but we strongly advise you to wait before booking the flight tickets. The alternative starting port would be Halifax, from where you would sail on the Atlantic first, before crossing the Panama Canal towards Pacific. Either way the journey promises to be an exciting one, and includes crossing the Equator and meeting the Neptune! Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.
Nome is a small city by the Bering Sea in Alaska, US. Visit the Bering Land Bridge National Preserve or the cold-war relic White Alice Site. Learn about the local traditions and culture in the Katirvik Cultural Center and Carrie M. McLain Memorial Museum and enjoy the ambiance of a remote northern town.
The Galápagos Islands are an archipelago off the coast of Ecuador whose wildlife is famous for inspiring Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution. There you will see many species that don’t exist anywhere else in the world, including giant tortoises, lizards and numerous birds. Take a boat tour through Black Turtle Cove, walk to the Tortuga Bay or, if you’re feeling adventurous, take a trekk through massive underground lava tubes.
