Thalassa:
Esbjerg (DK) - Bremerhaven (DE)

09 August - 13 August 2025

Join Thalassa for an exciting short sailing trip from Esbjerg to Bremerhaven. Begin your journey in Esbjerg, amidst a gathering of numerous ships celebrating the conclusion of the Tall Ships Races, and meet your fellow crew members. Departing from the iconic Men at Sea monument, set sail for Helgoland, a serene German island free from cars and bicycles. Discover its rugged coastlines, high cliffs, and diverse flora and fauna, including seals. After exploring Helgoland, sail through the Wadden Sea to Cuxhaven, where you can enjoy beautiful sandy beaches and coastal walks. Finally, arrive in Bremerhaven just in time for the nautical event, Sail Bremerhaven, starting on August 13th. You will need to disembark at 07:30 in the morning, but you’re welcome to extend your stay by booking a hotel to enjoy the festivities.
Open to all Windseekers over 18 years of age.

Ports

Esbjerg is a beautiful coastal city in the South-West of Denmark, with the second biggest harbour in Denmark - a lively place full of fishing and shipping activities. You can observe the town's maritime history in its attractions: from the Fisheries- and Maritime Museum, Esbjerg Skibet statue to the Men at Sea monument, everything brings you back to the sea. Visit also the Ribe Vikinge Center, a fun outdoor museum where you will meet the Vikings themselves!

Bremerhaven is one of the most important German ports, playing a crucial role in Germany's trade. The town was founded in 1827, but settlements in the vicinity were settled as early as the 12th century. The main attractions for tourists are found at the Havenwelten and include the German Emigration Center and the German Maritime Museum, featuring the Hansekogge, a vintage cog dating from 1380, excavated in Bremen in 1962, and the historical harbour with a number of museum ships.
