Join the Valborg for the Youth Exchange with sustainable theme. Explore the spectacular coast of Finland and cross over for a visit to Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia. Stop by in Mariehamn in the Aaland Islands, the island Saaremaa, or some uninhabited Finnish islands - depending on where the winds take you! Learn to sail a traditional ship, contribute to plastic research of the sea, make friends from different countries – and have a wonderful adventure that you won’t soon forget!

The ship sails day and night, and so will you! Divided into watches, you will take shifts with other trainees and crew. Soon you will know how to steer the impressive vessel, trim the sails, navigate, make knots and so much more. Sounds daunting? No worries, teamwork makes it easier and you won’t even notice when you’ve started to take more and more responsibilities on board. Soon you will be sailing the Valborg with new confidence in yourself and your crew mates.

Meet a marine biologist from The Ocean Movement and learn to get water samples from the sea. Analyze the microplastics, learn about marine ecosystems, brainstorm solutions for leading more sustainable life. With so many people from different countries, it's impossible to predict what you might come up with! The mentors on board will organise intercultural activities, games and discussions, and make sure everyone is feeling right at home.

No budget? No worries! The Windseeker Dinghy will help you get on board. The program, much more than just a fundraising training, is part of your preparation and included in the Exchanges.
