Dear Mentors,
We’re thrilled to invite you to the third edition of the Windseeker Foundation Mentor Training, taking place on March 25-29, 2026 (Wednesday to Sunday). This will be a special opportunity to learn, connect, and grow together, both on land and at sea. Below you’ll find all the key details to get you ready for this exciting experience. And of course, feel free to reach out if you have any questions along the way.
This immersive training weekend is designed to inspire and prepare you through:
• Interactive workshops and live sessions that strengthen your mentoring skills.
• Facilitating connections with mentors from a variety of vessels.
• Open exchange of experiences, ideas, and plenty of shared moments (and laughs!)
• A unique sailing adventure across the Dutch IJsselmeer, including visits to several charming, traditional Dutch harbors.
You’ll join a group of up to 30 mentors and Windseeker Foundation representatives. Whether you’re an experienced sailor or new to the Windseeker family, this training offers the perfect space to learn, contribute, and feel part of a strong, supportive community.
When:Wednesday, March 25, 17:00 – Sunday, March 29, 17:00.
Where:Onboard the beautiful Dutch ship Johanna Engelina, moored in the vibrant NDSM area of northern Amsterdam. Address: 53 Ms. Van Riemsdijkweg, Amsterdam.
We will be sailing throughout the weekend and visit some typical Dutch port towns. Embarkation and disembarkation will be at the same place. You will sleep in 2- or 4-person cabins. Workshops will mostly be held below deck, but sailing and some of the activities will take you outside, so bring your sailing gear and pack your bag appropriately for chilly Dutch March weather!
Johanna Engelina will be moored at the Northern part of Amsterdam called NDSM.
From Amsterdam Centraal station: take the free F4 ferry to NDSM (just a 1-minute walk from the station). Ferries run every 15 minutes. Trains from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Centraal take around 15 minutes and depart every 10-20 minutes.
Tip: Avoid driving if possible; parking in Amsterdam is expensive! Use park-and-travel options if necessary.
The street address of the vessel is 53 Ms. Van Riemsdijkweg, Amsterdam.
Bring these essentials to ensure a smooth and enjoyable weekend!
• A printed photo of yourself (max 10-15 cm) with space for your name.
• Towels and toiletries (bedding will be provided on board).
