Vlissingen (NL) - Rouen (FR)

02 June - 06 June 2019

Delivery to the Tall Ships Regatta. Board the Eendracht in Vlissingen, a maritime town in the south of Netherlands. After a warm welcome from captain and crew, you will be divided into watches and leave the port for an adventure at sea. Sailing along the coast of Belgium and France, you will eventually reach Rouen, where many Tall Ships will be gathering for the L’ Armada de la Liberté in Rouen maritime festival! Please note that this is a discounted delivery journey, which means that getting to Rouen on time is a priority. You will hoist the sails if the winds and currents permit it. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Vlissingen is a port town in the southwest of Netherlands, dating back to the 7th century when it was first established as a fishing village. Notably, Vlissingen has the longest seafront promenade in the Netherlands, where you can take a long walk and enjoy the multiple historical monuments along the way. When you've had enough of walking, visit the Maritime muZEEum with its interactive exhibits and passionate staff. Wherever you end up, enjoy the atmosphere of a 14-centuries old seaside town.

Rouen is a city with long history located on the River Seine in Normandy, North France. It's also the venue of L'Armada, a sailing festival which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2019. When visiting Rouen you can't miss the Gothic Cathedral and Palais de Justice. For nature lovers the Roumare Forest just outside the city is the place to be, while art enthusiasts should visit Musee Secq des Tournelles - the wrought iron museum.
