Vacancy: Office Administration / 4 days a week

A job opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join a small, vibrant and multicultural team operating from the office boat Brandaris near the centre of Amsterdam.

The job is combined for the Windseeker Foundation & School at Sea, who share the office on the Brandaris. The Windseeker Foundation is a registered charity committed to helping youth gain access to exciting educational projects aboard some of the finest Tall Ships in the world.

Currently, the Windseeker Foundation is looking for a person to help out with the (financial) administration of our projects. No experience is required; you will be taught everything you need to know. School at Sea is a non-profit foundation, managed by enthusiastic professionals with extensive experience in talent development, secondary education and of course sailing on tall ships. Our program is based on experiential learning: learning with a direct link to practice.


Roles and Responsibilities
1. To process registrations for journeys in a dedicated database, check if they are correct, and contact clients if necessary for additional details, send booking documents, etc.
2. To send invoices and keep track of payments (guided by the financial manager).
3. To assist in the management of various projects, helping with logistical arrangements, communication, preparing files, keeping track of documents, making travel plans, etc.
4. Other office administration tasks as required.


The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
1. Fluency (both verbal and written) in Dutch and English.
2. Good record-keeping and administrative skills.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently and within a team.
5. Flexibility in working hours (occasionally).



Depending on the season, when incorporated, working from home is optional.
