Oost-Vlieland

History

The Oost-Vlieland (Dutch for East Vlieland, one of the Wadden Isles) was built in Makkum in 1926. In the early years she was a coastal fishing vessel. The extensive renovations in the winter of 2016/17 made the Ship very comfortable for anyone who'd like to join her for a taste of sailing life.

Ship

The Oost-Vlieland is a traditional Dutch Ship. She can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people (plus professional crew). On board you are welcome to help with the sails and take the rudder to control the vessel’s course. The Oost-Vlieland is particularly suitable for families and small groups who want a very special sailing experience, but everyone is welcome to join this very cozy Ship. A good-humored, helpful and very experienced skipper on board will explain everything you need to know about sailing this unique vessel.

Accommodation

The accommodation is very private and comfortable, in 5 double cabins. There is a shared shower and toilet, and a comfortable living space to spend time together.
