Saeftinghe

History

Saeftinghe was designed by a Dutch naval architect Bekebrede and subsequently built in 1993 in De Vries Jachtwerf, Lemmer, Netherlands. Nowadays the yacht is an expedition sailing ship for Arruno Exploration.

Ship

Saeftinghe has proven itself as a unique sailing yacht that can be used anywhere. Sturdy yet comfortable, reliable and safe, easy to steer, contemporary classic and built to last. This robust but beautiful yacht combines luxury with durability. When under sail you can enjoy being outside sitting under the Bimini sun awning or take comfortable shelter inside the large and luxury pilothouse.

Saeftinghe sails with a permanent crew of 4 people, accommodating up to 8 trainees per journey. It is a family yacht, and the owners’ children often join the voyages.

Accommodation

8 trainees sleep in 5 cabins on board. 4 toilets and 3 showers are shared. The dining area has been designed to comfortably fit 13 people. The spacious galley hosts an induction stove and everything you need to prepare tasty meals. The comfortable layout makes Saeftinghe suitable for long sailing trips and wooden interiors, made by the best Dutch craftsmen, make the spaces cozy and inviting.
