Antwerp Flyer:
Kristiansand (NO) - Nieuwpoort (BE)

27 July - 02 August 2015

No places available anymore – Cross the North Sea from the Norwegian harbour Kristiansand to Nieuwpoort in Belgium, the hometown of the Antwerp Flyer. When you embark in Kristiansand you’ll be witness to the large Tall Ship fleet that has gathered there for the second leg of the Tall Ships Races 2015. However, the Antwerp Flyer has other plans, giving you the opportunity to rack up the nautical miles. Become a temporary part of the crew and get involved with everything that needs done on this fast yacht: navigation, setting and trimming the sails, being on lookout and various chores. Feel the wind through your hair as you experience the freedom of the open sea, and gaze up at the stars as you take the helm on your night watch. Open to Windseekers of all ages, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Kristiansand is the business and cultural capital of southern Norway. The sea and surrounding fjords are perfect for recreational activities like fishing and sailing, and the nearby inland and mountains are ideal for skiing and hiking. In the more urban areas you will find a rich variety of cafes, restaurants, art galleries and museums.

Nieuwpoort, on the Belgian coast, is a smal town and port. It has historically been the theatre of many battles, and that alone makes Nieuwpoort well worth a visit. Walk around the old town centre and you'll see several historic buildings. And if you're up for a bit more action, the beach and the dunes will offer opportunities for a swim, a run, and many different water activities. Close to Nieuwpoort you'll find the historic cities of Gent and Bruges, both excellent options for a city trip.
