Atyla:
Calais (FR) - Liverpool (GB)

20 May - 27 May 2018

A journey to the Liverpool Tall Ships Festival. Sail with Atyla from northern France to Liverpool in this week-long journey. This is a delivery voyage, which means that you will cruise under sails if the wind permits, but if not, there is a possibility of going on engine, so you can reach the port. However, the fun doesn’t stop on Atyla when the sails go down, and you will enjoy your time spent on Sail Training and Atyla’s custom educational programme. In Liverpool you can expect to see many other Ships who will arrive for the opening of the 2018 3 Festivals Tall Ships Regatta. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years. Special price for the first 6 trainees – last places available.

Ports

Calais is the largest city in Pas-de-Calais and the Port of Calais is the fourth largest in France. Calais overlooks the Strait of Dover, which is the narrowest part of the English canal, and on a clear day you can easily see the White Cliffs of Dover from the Calais shore! Visit art galleries, relax at the Calais Beach, see the famous lighthouse and take a walk inside the Fort Risban walls. Calais also has many beautiful historical monuments, such as Eglise Notre-Dame.

Liverpool enjoys ‘The most splendid setting of any English city’, the city lies in the bay of the Irish Sea. The city has long been on the forefront of maritime and industrial development, and boasts several UNESCO World Heritage sites, so there’s plenty to see and do. Find a map and visit the many landmarks & museums, or spend some time at the most impressive waterfront of the world. When the sun sets Liverpool’s vibrant nightlife will keep you entertained every night of the year!
