Greenwich is a district of southeast London, notable for its role in Maritime history. Opulent buildings dot the shorelines of the Thames River, and the famous Cutty Sark clipper is on display here. Greenwich has a village feel, and its parks and riverside pubs make for a rewarding stroll around the area, while the rest of London is within easy reach by underground. Visit the National Maritime Museum, the Imperial War museum, or go window-shopping in Greenwich’s affluent shopping streets.
Sines is a small Portugese city with a large port, famous for being the birthplace od Vasco da Gama. Formerly a fishing village, the town center retained its quiant atmosphere, despite fast-paced industrialisation. Today you can relax on ofe of the beautiful beaches or, if you feel like taking a walk, climp up to the XV-century castle and take in the beautiful vista.
