Ports

Bergen is the gateway to the Fjords of Norway and a well-established cruise port. It’s an international city packed with history and tradition, a big city with small-town charm and atmosphere. Stroll around old streets and alleyways, and mingle with the crowds at the Fish Market. Saunter along the listed wooden buildings at Bryggen to the old fortress at Bergenhus, or call in at one of Bergen’s museums and galleries. The panoramic views of the city, the fjord and the ocean are breathtaking.

Eemshaven is a seaport in the province of Groningen, in the northeast of the Netherlands. When you leave port and go out at sea you are at the Wadden Sea, an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. You might spot a seal and you will spot some birds. You can also walk with low tide over the bottom of the sea and see all kinds of marine life. The port of Eemshaven itself is a robust, industrial area. But you can go for a nice walk over the dike, enjoy nature and look over the sea.
