Thalassa:
Torshavn (FO) - Oban (GB)

15 August - 26 August 2026

Set sail for the Faroe Islands, a destination renowned for its dramatic coastlines, and explore some of the most breathtaking hiking trails before you cross the sea to Scotland. Sail from Torshavn, the charming capital of the Faroe Islands and make your way deeper into the archipelago to visit fishing villages nestled between fjords, the islands with rolling green hills, and villages where time seems to stand still. Enjoy peaceful walks through the countryside and immerse yourself in the traditional Faroese way of life. Then embark on the crossing to Scotland. Depending on the weather conditions you might stop by in the Outer Hebrides, with the rich Gaelic culture and strong maritime traditions. Explore the wild and mysterious Scottish coast before finally, after a journey full of unforgettable moments, you will sail into your final destination in Oban.
Open to all Windseekers over 18 years of age.

Ports

Torshavn has been the capital of the remote Faroe Islands since the year 850. The city (whose name literally means “Thor’s harbour”) has around 15,000 inhabitants and is located on the largest island of the archipelago: Streymoy. Take a walk through the historic centre with old grass-roofed buildings and visit the Listasavn Foroya – the National Gallery of the Faroe Islands, then relax in the nearby Viðarlundin Park or take a trip to the Skansin Fortress, built to protect the city from pirates.

Oban (meaning ‘little bay’ in Gaelic) is a small harbor town on the west coast of Scotland, famous for its whiskey distillery. The town occupies a beautiful setting in the Firth of Lorn, and is a perfect place to find shelter from the Atlantic. Walking around town is a pleasure, and close by you’ll find mountains, castles, dramatic coastal scenery, and McCaig’s tower that resembles the Colosseum. In the first week of August, the town plays host to West Highland week, a yearly sailing regatta.
