Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta and Volvo Ocean Race in one! Join the schooner Adventure Wales for the first leg of the Regatta and then sail on to her homeport. Enjoy racing other vessels around a number of waypoints on the Irish Sea, and then take part in harbour festival in the capital of Ireland. After the event you will sail to Cardiff to meet the fleet of the Volvo Ocean Race. This special voyage will be Adventure Wales’ first event since being owned by the Challenge Wales charity. Open for Windseekers aged 16-25. Contact us if you’d like to step off in Dublin instead of sailing all the way to Cardiff. Contact us for information about bursaries.

Liverpool enjoys ‘The most splendid setting of any English city’, the city lies in the bay of the Irish Sea. The city has long been on the forefront of maritime and industrial development, and boasts several UNESCO World Heritage sites, so there’s plenty to see and do. Find a map and visit the many landmarks & museums, or spend some time at the most impressive waterfront of the world. When the sun sets Liverpool’s vibrant nightlife will keep you entertained every night of the year!

Dublin is the capital and largest city of Ireland. It is located on the east coast, at the mouth of the River Liffey. Founded as a Viking settlement, the Kingdom of Dublin became Ireland’s main city. The city has many landmarks and monuments dating back hundreds of years that you can visit. Walk through one of the many parks Dublin offers; it has more green spaces per square kilometer than any other European capital city.

Cardiff is the Capital city of Wales, located on the south coast of the country. A former industrial city, Cardiff has undergone a remarkable modernisation. The centre contains Cardiff Castle, the lush Bute park and the country’s finest shopping arcades. At Cardiff Bay, the Welsh national Assembly sits alongside an array of contemporary and classic architecture – Explore the area in the summer, taking time to relax in one of the many cafes and restaurants.
