Blue Clipper:
Marigot (MF) - St Georges (BM)

26 March - 08 April 2020

Sailing in the Caribbean waters. This journey will take you from the island of Saint Martin all the way to Bermuda. You will spend almost two weeks on board, learning to sail a traditional ship and enjoying the tropical weather. Steer the ship, trim the sails and navigate day and night to bring Blue Clipper to her destination. Take in the clear blue sea, look for dolphins in the waves, relax on deck and make new friends. Discover the beauty of the Caribbean region and gain sailing experience over several hundred nautical miles. Open to Windseekers of all ages, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Marigot is the capital of the French part of St. Maarten. It’s a typical Caribbean town, complete with colorful houses, small streets and a relaxed atmosphere. The climate will help you adjust to the pace of life on the island, but if you want to do more than sip piña coladas, you’ll find plenty to do. Visit the old fort St. Louis, overlooking Marigot bay, the French Quarter (Orleans), and Paradise Peak. But Marigot’s main draw is to just be there and enjoy one beautiful day after the other.

St. George’s is the second town and former capital of Bermuda. Founded in 1612, the town still keeps its historic colonial centre (a UNESCO World Heritage site) – stroll around King’s square and feel what the Caribbean was like under the British Empire. Choose to tour heritage buildings or the oldest remaining fortifications in the New World, built to protect the city from attacks by pirates and Spaniards.
