Windseekers like to sail, and like to party. And if you can combine the two, that’s even better! Join the yacht Tomidi at Sail Bremerhaven from the 14th to the 16th of August, after which you’ll sail to IJmuiden and join the spectacular “Parade of Sail in” from IJmuiden to the city centre of Amsterdam, for Sail Amsterdam 2015. In between, you’re in for a treat if you like fast sailing and want to hone your seamanship skills, for the Tomidi is a former Whitbread racer. Harness the wind and battle the waves, and enjoy the wide open horizons – it’s the ultimate feeling of freedom! By the time you reach Amsterdam, you’ll have found your sea legs on what promises to be an exciting yourney. For all ages, minimum age 15 years. Open to all ages, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Bremerhaven is one of the most important German ports, playing a crucial role in Germany's trade. The town was founded in 1827, but settlements in the vicinity were settled as early as the 12th century. The main attractions for tourists are found at the Havenwelten and include the German Emigration Center and the German Maritime Museum, featuring the Hansekogge, a vintage cog dating from 1380, excavated in Bremen in 1962, and the historical harbour with a number of museum ships.

With more bicycles than people, cycling is an integral part of Amsterdam's DNA. Hop on and see the city like the locals do! Winding waterways, idyllic bridges and historic buildings - one of the most memorable ways to truly see Amsterdam is from the canals. Amsterdam has a full cultural agenda showcasing the very best festivals, nightlife, exhibitions & events, plus there is enough practical tourist info, hotel, museum, excursion & attraction listings, you won't miss a thing!
