Youth sailing journey from the Med to the Netherlands. Join the Eendracht in Alicante and hoist the sails together with your crew mates to leave the Costa Blanca behind and set sail for Lisbon. Along the way you will sail through the famous Strait of Gibraltar between Africa and Europe, and leave the Mediterranean Sea for the waters of the Atlantic. Spend some time visiting Lisbon, with its long maritime history, before rolling up your sleeves for the next passage. Sail along the Portuguese and Spanish coast and up towards the English Channel, before finally setting foot ashore again in the Eendracht’s home port of Rotterdam. A very diverse trip with beautiful cities, beaches, history and a lot of sailing.
Open to young Windseekers aged 15-25.
Pre-night possible – stay on board the night before the journey for additional € 37,50.

Ports

Alicante is a port city on the Costa Blanca, Mediterranean coast of Spain. Climb up to the 16-century Castle of Santa Barbara for a great view over the city and take a stroll through the lively Explanada de Espana with its many cafes and restaurants. Visit Barrio Santa Cruz for a taste of authentic local culture and if you love everything sailing-related don't miss the Volvo Ocean Race Museum.

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.

What does it mean?
